Hillsboro, Ore., January 12, 2001 The past week has been exciting for the 12-16 year-old performers of Ring of Fire as they have had the opportunity to meet Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber as well as both Oregon U.S. Senators' Gordon Smith and Ron Wyden.
On Wednesday, January 10, Ring of Fire performed on KPTV-12's Good Day Oregon Morning TV show and were personally congratulated by Governor Kitzhaber. They enjoyed a quick photo op with the Governor while on the set of Good Day Oregon.
