The Presidential Inaugural Committee has invited Ring of Fire to perform at three official
Inaugural events in Washington D.C. in January 2005. The group will first perform at a special candlelight
dinner on the eve of the Inauguration in the Grand Hall of the National Museum. The dinner will be for
special guests of the President and First Lady.
On January 20, Ring of Fire is honored to represent the state of Oregon as they perform on a float in the
55th Inaugural Parade down Pennsylvania Avenue. Musical groups and parade participants have been selected
from 45 US states. The parade begins at the US Capitol and ends just past the VIP viewing stands at the White
House.
Later that evening, Ring of Fire will perform at the Constitution Ball in the Washington Hilton. States
represented at this ball include Oregon, Nevada, Montana, Minnesota, Indiana, Georgia, Connecticut, New Mexico,
West Virginia, Wisconsin, Oklahoma as well as Guam, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands. It will also be one
of the first stops by the President and First Lady of the evening.
Ring of Fire will be holding a Media Day at the Hillsboro Cultural
Arts Center on Monday, January 17 from 11 am to 6 pm.
