Tuesday, April 15, Ring of Fire begins their tour to California.
Divided into two phases, the first lasts a week and
targets the Northern California area. The second phase a
week later, targets the Southern California area
and includes ROF's third guest appearance at the Crystal
Cathedral in Garden Grove.
The tour begins in Grants Pass, OR Tuesday, April 15 with a concert at
the SDA Church at 7:00 pm. Better Life Television will be
there to tape the concert for broadcasting on the 3 Angels
Broadcasting Network.
Wednesday, April 16 the group heads for the Bay area. Tammy Raetz has
invited the group for supper at her mom's home in Oakland
prior to the concert and
will probably bring some of her friends along. The
concert takes place at
7:30 pm in the First Covenant Church in Oakland, home
church for P.L. Grove, director of Velocity.
Thursday, April 17 we head for Cupertino, home of Apple Computer
and other high-tech companies in the Bay Area. The concert
that evening will be at Valley Church, home church
for Dave Ruder.
Friday we plan to do some sight-seeing in San Francisco. Many sights are
available to be seen, from Golden Gate Bridge, to the cable
street cars, to Coyt Tower, to Alcatraz Island. In the evening
we head to Sacramento.
Saturday, April 19 includes performances during the church worship service
at Carmichael SDA Church in the morning, and a full concert
in the evening at 6:30 pm at the same location. This has
been well advertised in the area and should be a full venue,
so come early.
Sunday we travel to Grass Valley for an afternoon concert as featured
artists in the Twin Cities Concert Series. Concert time is
2:00 pm at the Grass Valley SDA Church. We head back to Sacramento
area to stay the night.
Monday morning is an 8:30 am school assembly
concert at the Sacramento Adventist Academy (high school.)
We welcome anyone to attend this venue at the school.
Then we head north for a Monday evening concert at the Intermountain
Evangelical Free Church in McArthur, California starting at 7:00 pm.
Wednesday, April 30 ROF flies
to S. California for the start of their tour in that area.
That evening is a full concert at the Azusa Pacific University
(Azusa Campus) beginning at 7:30 pm.
Thursday, May 1 we head to Temecula for a concert at the Hope
Luthern Church at 7:00 pm. Friday will be a fun day for the
group, likely going to a theme park or the beach. Saturday,
May 3, there is a concert in Calimesa as part of the community
concert series, beginning at 7:30 pm.
Sunday morning, May 4 ROF performs for their third appearance
at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. They will appear
for both worship services that morning. The services
will be taped for television and broadcast one week later
on Mother's Day, May 11.
We sincerily hope you can make one of our scheduled appearances.
We really would love to meet each and every one of you, if
possible. To contact the group while on
tour, please call Carol Holm, Director of Concerts
and PR, at 503-314-8016. Hope to see you on tour!
